The ideal candidate holds the North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist credential and has experience in addiction counseling.

Qualifications

• Current NC Peer Support Specialist credential.
• Experience in addiction counseling (1 year preferred).
• Excellent communication and confidentiality required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with licensed and non-licensed clinical staff to identify needs and develop interventions.
• Engage the person served with natural supports and community resources.
• Promote patient welfare with calm, trust, reassurance, and hope.
• Maintain flexible schedule to support persons served, including after-hours activities.
• Manage caseload of active treatment for persons served.
• Assist with intake: screening and demographic info, review intake docs.
• Orient new persons served to ICGH.
• Identify and resolve crisis situations for persons served.
