Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is seeking a Patient Observation Assistant for a full-time role at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital in Rapid City, SD. The position offers a 6:00 am to 2:30 pm schedule with online applications accepted only.

No prior experience is required. You will monitor patients under RN supervision, document observations, respond to emergencies, and support patient safety and comfort throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required within 30 days of hire, if required at the facility.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides visual and audible observation of assigned patients under RN and unit manager directions.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals and communicates safety concerns.
• Remains with the patient at all times unless relieved by staff and escalates medical distress as needed.
• Ensures patient environment is safe and assists with patient mobility and meals when appropriate.
• Participates in hand-off information and coordinates care with nursing staff.
