Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient’s condition and behavior.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Remains at the bedside of the patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Assists in calming and/or reorienting the patient and supports safety.
