Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a full-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (DIETARY AIDE) at WakeMed Cary in Cary, NC. You will assist patients with menu selections, deliver and retrieve meals, and ensure accuracy and timeliness of orders.

Qualifications include customer service and food service experience in healthcare preferred, with weekends/holidays rotation. Growth opportunities and a supportive team culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional requirements.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to offer menu alternatives for allergies, cultural or religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and timely per patient selections.
• Retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Complies with federal, state and JCAHO standards and HIPAA policies.
• Follows HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning stations.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on restricted diets or calorie counts.
• Report problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports as required by Morrison Healthcare.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
