Qualifications

• High school, GED, or equivalent required.
• College degree preferred.
• Must have at least 6 months experience in healthcare admitting and insurance verification.
• Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to concentrate on tasks in high-traffic areas.
• Therapeutic Options training to be obtained prior to providing direct patient care without a preceptor.

Responsibilities

• Admitting patients by gathering and recording physician, patient, and payment responsibility information.
• Verify patient insurance and personal identification documents.
• Ensure registration forms are properly signed.
• Providing hospital and hospital services information, and other duties as assigned.
