Job summary

Aurora Charter Oak Behavioral Health Care in Covina, CA seeks an Admitting Clerk for a full-time AM shift. You will collect patient and physician data, verify insurance, and ensure forms are signed, while guiding patients with hospital information.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, with 6 months healthcare admitting experience and strong communication skills. Therapeutic Options training is required before direct patient care.

Qualifications

• High school, GED, or equivalent required.
• College degree preferred.
• Must have at least 6 months experience in healthcare admitting and insurance verification.
• Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to concentrate on tasks in high-traffic areas.
• Therapeutic Options training to be obtained prior to providing direct patient care without a preceptor.

Admitting Clerk - We have a Full-time opening for an Admitting Clerk.

What You’ll Do:

The Admitting Clerk is responsible for:

• Admitting patients by gathering and recording physician, patient, and payment responsibility information
• Verify patient insurance and personal identification documents
• Ensure registration forms are properly signed
• Providing hospital and hospital services information, and other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education & Experience:
