Job summary

Aurora Behavioral Charter Oak Hospital is looking for an Admitting Clerk for a full-time AM shift in Covina, CA. You will admit patients, verify insurance, and ensure forms are signed while providing hospital information and support.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 6 months healthcare admitting experience, and strong communication skills. Therapeutic Options training is required before direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to concentrate on task in high traffic areas.
• Therapeutic Options training to be obtained prior to providing direct patient care without a preceptor.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Admitting Clerk - We have a Full-time opening for an Admitting Clerk.

What You’ll Do:

The Admitting Clerk is responsible for:

• Admitting patients by gathering and recording physician, patient, and payment responsibility information
• Verify patient insurance and personal identification documents
• Ensure registration forms are properly signed
• Providing hospital and hospital services information, and other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

• High school, GED, or equivalent required
• College degree preferred
• Must have at least 6 months experience in healthcare admitting and insurance verification
