Job summary

Jovie is seeking a Back-up Nanny to care for children in-home on a flexible schedule. You will work on-call across multiple families, with no required transport of children and minimal household duties beyond cleanup.

Pay ranges from $23 to $26.50 per hour, with paid training, a nanny kit, and opportunities to advance within the childcare field. This is a W-2 position with benefits and travel to various homes.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Experience with children (paid or unpaid); infant experience mandatory.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel to multiple homes in the area.
• Available 3+ weekdays for 6–8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm.
• Strong communication with staffing supervisor.

Responsibilities

As a Back-up Nanny, You Will

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children
• No household duties other than common sense clean‑up of your activities or meals with the child
• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers. Highest demand for care for children under the age of 2!
• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands‑on activities based on your observations of the children’s age‑appropriate development
