Job summary

Jovie in Laguna Beach, CA seeks an on-call back-up nanny to care for children in-home. You will not be required to transport children and there are no household duties beyond light cleanup.

The role supports families with infants to toddlers and emphasizes safety and age-appropriate, hands-on activities. You’ll work a flexible schedule around school or other part-time commitments, typically 3+ weekdays for 6–8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm.

Have you worked as a babysitter, daycare worker, nanny, or church nursery volunteer? Are you a retired teacher or teaching professional who is seeking a small environment rather than a classroom? Are you seeking a position that allows you to flex your schedule around school, family, or another part-time position? As a back-up nanny, you will:

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children
• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child
• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers. Highest demand for care for children under the age of 2!
• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s age-appropriate development

We provide:

• Pay: $20 per hour - $22 per hourper hour
• Receive paid training and a nanny kit filled with age-appropriate activities and games that you will bring to childcare assignments
