Job summary

Jovie is seeking a back-up nanny to support families on an on-call, flexible schedule basis. The role focuses on in-home care with no transport duties, primarily for infants through toddlers, especially under age 2.

You will engage children with age-appropriate activities and maintain a clean, safe environment. The position offers paid training, a nanny kit of activities, opportunities for advancement, sick time, and various stipends or matching funds for full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children (paid or unpaid) including infants is required.
• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the US.
• Reliable transportation to travel to multiple homes in the area.

Responsibilities

• Care for children in-home without transporting them to activities.
• Minimal household duties beyond cleaning up after activities/meals.

As a Back-up Nanny, You Will

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children
• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child
• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers. Highest demand for care for children under the age of 2!
• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands‑on activities based on your observations of the children’s age‑appropriate development

• Pay: $23 per hour - $26.50 per hour per hour

About You

• At least 18 years old
• Experience working with children, paid or unpaid, infant experience mandatory
• Reliable transportation
• Your willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area
• You are available any 3 or more weekdays for 6 - 8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm
• Commitment to be communicative and responsive to the staffing supervisor and a bright smile to greet each family!
