Job summary

The City of Cedar Park seeks a Parks Equipment Operator to maintain parks and rights of way, operate mowing and maintenance machines, and support event setups. A high school diploma and at least one year of general maintenance experience are required.

You will transport tools, perform routine equipment inspections, follow safety protocols, and assist in building and grounds projects, with weekend and holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of general maintenance experience preferred.
• Any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists with general grounds keeping and park maintenance.
• Maintains rights of way maintenance on city streets (mowing/weed eating).
• Transports tools/materials to worksites and unloads supplies.
• Cleans and maintains work area, machines and tools.
• Operates maintenance equipment such as pickup trucks, bobcats, tractors, mowers, chainsaws.
• Follows safety standards and uses protective gear.
• Performs routine inspections and safety checks on equipment.
• Works some weekends and holidays; performs other duties as assigned.
