Job summary

The City of Cedar Park is seeking an Equipment Operator I to perform maintenance, repair, and construction tasks across streets, sidewalks, and drainage areas. The role involves operating light equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and pavement marking machines, and supporting road-work operations in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, loading and transporting gear, and assisting with traffic control setups.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• 1–2 years general maintenance experience.
• OR any approved equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools and machinery including jack hammers, saws, hammers, drills, and power tools.
• Load, transport, and unload light equipment and materials for projects.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and vehicles; ensure proper working condition.
• Grade, patch, resurface streets, repair potholes, and maintain drainage ditches.
