Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a compassionate and motivated Paraprofessional to join our full-time school-based team in Minneapolis, MN. This rewarding role provides the opportunity to positively impact students' academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development while helping them succeed in the classroom and beyond.

You will work closely with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support students in achieving their learning goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or relevant educational experience preferred.
• Para certified or equivalent credential preferred.
• Previous paraprofessional/school-based experience is advantageous.
• Experience working with students with special needs or behavioral challenges is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to students in general education and special education settings.
• Assist students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
• Implement teacher-directed instructional activities and interventions.
• Support student engagement, participation, and independence throughout the school day.
• Assist with classroom management and positive behavior support strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and families as needed.
• Monitor student progress and document observations when required.
• Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other school activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school and district policies.
