Job summary

Easthampton Public Schools' Easthampton High School is seeking a paraeducator for the full school year. The role provides instructional support under a certified teacher, helping to create a safe, engaging learning environment and assisting students with daily activities.

The paraeducator will work with individuals or small groups, support students with special needs or accommodations, monitor progress, and assist with basic classroom tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or 48 college credits, or have passed ParaPro or WorkKeys.
• Experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow teacher direction and school policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with classroom instruction and student activities.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons.
• Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources.
• Support students with special needs, behavior plans, or accommodations.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
• Supervise students during class, lunch, recess, field trips, or transitions.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment.
• Assist with basic clerical tasks as needed.

Education
