Job summary

Responsibilities

PARAEDUCATOR

Position Type: Full-Time – School Year

Salary: In accordance with the Easthampton Educators Association contract https://easthamptonma.gov/DocumentCenter/View/9046/School-Support-Unit-Contract--2024---2027

Job Description: A paraeducator supports teachers and students in the classroom by providing instructional assistance, supervision, and help with daily learning activities. The paraeducator works under the direction of a certified teacher or school administrator to help ensure students receive a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the teacher with classroom instruction and student activities
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons
  • Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources
  • Support students with special needs, behavior plans, or accommodations
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher
