Job summary

Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg is seeking a Registered Medication Aide & CNA for full-time night shifts (7P–7A) in Central Virginia. The role includes administering medications, taking vital signs, and assisting residents in Memory Support and Assisted Living units.

Comprehensive benefits are provided. Qualifications include a VA CNA license and a Registered Medication Aide license to administer medications, plus preference for 2–3 years of dementia care experience.

Qualifications

• Valid VA State CNA license is required.
• Registered Medication Aide license is required to administer medication.
• Two to three years of experience working with dementia patients is preferred.
• Influenza vaccine is required; COVID-19 vaccine recommended.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and promptly report abnormal resident conditions to the charge nurse.
• Escort/transport residents to various facility locations.
• Administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, and insulin injections) under supervision of a licensed nurse or pharmacist.
• Notify the charge nurse of residents requiring injections.
