Job summary

Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, a 5-Star rated Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central VA, seeks a Registered Medication Aide & CNA for a full-time shift 7A-7P to join our team. You will perform resident care tasks in the Memory Support and Assisted Living Unit under the direction of the Administrator.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, escorting residents, and administering prescribed medications under supervision.

Qualifications

• A valid VA State CNA license is required.
• A valid Registered Medication Aide license is required.
• Two to three years of experience working with dementia patients preferred.
• Influenza vaccine is required; COVID-19 vaccine recommended.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and report abnormal resident conditions to the charge nurse.
• Escort/transport residents to facility locations.
• Administer prescribed medications under supervision of a licensed nurse or pharmacist.
• Administers medications (oral, topical, and insulin injections) as scheduled.
• Notify charge nurse of residents requiring injections.
