Job summary

Hillcrest – A top-rated skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility – seeks a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant passionate about caring for the elderly. The OTA will perform therapy under supervision, implementing treatment plans and ensuring quality care in line with physicians’ orders and Hillcrest policies.

The role requires physical stamina and adherence to licensure requirements. Applicants must hold an OTA license and demonstrate ability to lift and move patients using proper body

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed therapy assistant, maintain current licensure and provide license annually.
• Must be able to lift, sit, stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, squat, bend and reach using good body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of therapy treatments as ordered by the attending physician and established by the licensed therapist.
• Exercise initiative and discretion in performing treatment programs to meet rehabilitation needs of individual patients and residents.
• Assure quality care for patients and residents following physicians' orders, state and federal regulations and Hillcrest's policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation/CFO/Administrator.
