Job summary

Insight Family Vision Care, Inc. seeks a licensed optometrist to perform full eye examinations, educate patients and build lasting relationships. You will diagnose refractive errors, prescribe glasses/contacts and medications, and advise on treatments including vision therapy when appropriate.

The role supports practice growth, collaborates with staff, and ensures high-quality patient care consistent with the group’s standards. On-site, full-time employment in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Establish long-term patient relationships through proper care and education.
• Perform comprehensive eye exams and analyze results.
• Diagnose refractive errors and eye diseases; prescribe glasses, contacts and medications.
• Instruct patients on remediation options and educate on eyecare.
• Promote eye health and advise on lens options with current coatings.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care when applicable.
• Assess systemic health risks and refer to other providers as needed.
• Communicate clearly with opticians and staff about recommendations.
