Job summary

Affinity Eye Care is seeking a licensed optometrist to conduct comprehensive eye exams and support practice growth by building patient relationships and educating patients on eye care. You will perform vision tests, diagnose refractive errors and ocular diseases, and prescribe glasses, contacts, and medications.

The role includes post-operative care, referrals for systemic conditions, and promoting eye health. Excellent communication with staff and patients is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Establish long term patient relationships through proper patient care and education.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results.
• Diagnose sight problems and eye diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications.
• Recommend treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for eye surgery patients.
• Evaluate patients for diseases and refer to other healthcare providers as needed.
• Educate patients on eye health and proper lens care.
• Communicate recommendations clearly to opticians and sales staff.
