Job summary

EssilorLuxottica in Wisconsin is seeking an Optometric Technician to support eye exams and patient care. You will assist with exams, manage patient flow, and help the doctor deliver high-quality vision services. The role requires experience in optometry or healthcare, strong communication, and meticulous record-keeping.

Weekend/evening availability may be required to support store needs. Training is provided and opportunities for professional development are available.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience in optometry, ophthalmology or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of optical and medical terminology.
• Understanding and utilization of optical equipment and diagnostic testing.
• Coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and eye exams, manage records and patient flow.
• Perform visual acuity, depth and color perception tests and retinal imaging.
• Review prescriptions and patient information; consult with Optometrist.
• Handle and file patient records per HIPAA.
• Operate POS system and process sales transactions.
• Maintain equipment disinfection and support Optometrist.
