Job summary

AHRC New York City in Brooklyn is seeking Full-Time Job Coaches for our Brooklyn Employment Business Services program. The job coach will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) on the job site and in the community, helping them achieve meaningful employment.

You will teach, demonstrate tasks, and provide ongoing training, with most time spent at job sites. A HS diploma or GED is required, and strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills are

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience a plus.
• Flexibility in work hours to meet scheduling needs.
• Teaching or mentoring experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service and client-facing abilities.
• Strong documentation and case note writing skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 10-15 clients, mostly on the job site.
• Teach, demonstrate tasks, and coach new workers to perform duties.
• Provide training and support to workers with disabilities.
• Assist with travel from home to job sites when needed.
• Write detailed service notes after each session to monitor progress.
