Job summary

AHRC NYC is seeking multiple full-time Job Coaches to join the Employment Services Program in the Bronx and Staten Island, supporting individuals with IDD to secure meaningful employment. Coaches spend most time on job sites, easing into less direct support as proficiency grows.

Compensation scales with education: $18/hour with a high school diploma, up to $21/hour with a Master's degree, plus a comprehensive benefits package including free medical insurance and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience a plus.
• Flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to scheduling needs.
• Teaching or mentoring experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service and client-facing experience.
• Strong case note writing and documentation skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of about 10-15 clients, primarily in the field (90% of time at job sites).
• Teach, assist, and support new workers in their jobs using demonstration, modeling, counseling, observation, and discussion.
• Provide training and support to workers with disabilities, ensuring their success.
• Assist new workers with travel from home to job sites when needed.
• Write detailed service notes after each session to monitor client progress and outcomes.
