Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital in Boardman, OH is hiring a Staff Nurse for the Boardman Emergency Department. This full-time onsite role supports 36 hours per week with shift 7:00pm–7:30am, focusing on family-centered pediatric care and applying nursing knowledge across biological, physical, behavioral, and social domains.

The Staff Nurse will assess and coordinate patient care, mentor staff, participate in quality improvement, and collaborate with providers to deliver excellent, patient-centered

Qualifications

• BSN required or obtained within 5 years of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• RN license in Ohio required.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and direct nursing care.
• Provide care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
• Lead and perform professional duties.
• Deliver patient-centered care.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety duties.
• Educate and mentor staff; precept new employees.
• Support providers and promote collaboration for quality pediatric care.
• Engage in informatics and technology duties.
• May rotate to other Akron Children's Hospital units as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
