Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse to deliver individualized nursing care across a 40-bed medical-surgical unit specializing in urology, nephrology, trauma and colorectal surgery. The RN will work 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights, with weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Current/state licensure as a registered nurse.
• Completion of mandatory reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages.
• Use a team approach to delegate and coordinate patient care at admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Maintain patient safety and deliver care per Nurse Practice Act and Mercy policies.
