Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA, is hiring a Full Time Emergency Department Registered Nurse. The role is night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with 2 eight-hour call shifts per 6-week schedule. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is offered for qualified candidates.

Requirements include RN licensure in Virginia and education paths ranging from RN-Associate’s to RN-Doctorate. Preferred BSN/MSN and ACLS/PALS/ENPC within 1 year of hire; BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN preferred.
• ACLS within 1 year of hire; Emergency Care - ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire.
• Women’s Care - Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire.
• All Direct Care RN’s required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process.
• Meet standards of practice and professional performance.
• Coordinate care, teach and promote health.
