Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is hiring a Full Time Emergency Department Registered Nurse. The RN will perform professional nursing care in a fast-paced ED, participate in the nursing process, and meet specialty certifications within required timeframes.

BSN/MSN preferred; ACLS/PALS/ENPC, BLS, and other clearances are required within deadlines. The role offers a full-time schedule with 8-hour swing shifts and a generous sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for qualified

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Virginia or multi-state license.
• 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience preferred.
• BLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS within 1 year of hire; PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire; Oncology Care provider card within 6 months; other Sentara training as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care per nursing process and standards.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the ED.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure patient safety and timely treatment.
