Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Full Time Emergency Department Registered Nurse for evening shifts (3:00pm–3:00am). The RN provides care per the nursing process, with ACLS/PALS/ENPC within 1 year of hire and BLS within 90 days. BSN preferred.

The ED is a Level III trauma center with 37 beds and varied presentations. Base pay ranges from $41.93 to $61.01 per hour with shift differentials and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or compact multi-state license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/ENPC within 1 year of hire.
• BSN preferred.
• 2 years ED nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED.
• Perform nursing assessments, care planning, and patient teaching.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to stabilize and discharge patients.
