Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for full-time evening coverage in Woodbridge, VA. The ED is a busy, Level III trauma center with multidisciplinary teams and a strong focus on patient safety and rapid stabilization.

BSN or MSN preferred; ACLS within 1 year, PALS/ENPC within 1 year, and BLS within 90 days are required. Two 8-hour shifts with call shifts complete the schedule for dedicated, skilled RNs.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN preferred.
• 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience (preferred).
• ACLS within 1 year of hire; PALS or ENPC within 1 year; BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care per the nursing process.
• Care for ED patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
• Maintain required certifications within specified timelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
