Position Highlights

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Family is seeking a nanny Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., guaranteeing 36 hours per week. They have some flexibility to adjust the hours for an exceptional long-term candidate.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out.

Commitment/Contract Length: Long-term, ideally a multi-year commitment.

About the Children:

• Baby is a happy, easygoing 7-month-old who is healthy, curious and entering a fun stage of development. He is beginning to sit independently, scoot around and explore his surroundings, and he recently started solids.
• His days currently follow a flexible rhythm rather than a rigid schedule, with bottles and naps approximately every three hours. He is fully formula-fed and enjoys stroller walks through the neighborhood and nearby parks.

• These first-time parents are casual, family-oriented and deeply invested in finding an experienced nanny who can become a trusted, long-term part of their son’s life. Mom takes a gentle approach to parenting, and both parents value honesty, transparency and direct communication.

Key Responsibilities

Standard Duties:

• All standard nanny duties are requested, including attentive infant care, bottles and solids, naps, developmental play, stroller walks, age-appropriate activities, baby laundry, child-related meal preparation and keeping the baby’s spaces and belongings clean and organized.
• Light household support is appreciated during natural downtime, including simple meal prep for the parents such as washing or chopping vegetables. The position remains primarily baby-focused.

Travel Requirements:

• None required. Some flexibility with the schedule would be appreciated when needed.

Desired Skills and Abilities

• Family is seeking a candidate with at least 2-3+ years of professional infant experience verifiable with strong references.
• All candidates should have a strong understanding of infant development, feeding, sleep, starting solids and age-appropriate activities. Experience supporting babies through changing developmental stages is highly valued.
• College education is welcomed but not required. The family is prioritizing proven infant experience, professionalism, reliability and overall fit.
• The ideal candidate will be confident, nurturing, organized and comfortable taking initiative throughout the day. The family is looking for someone who communicates directly and honestly, maintains a tidy working environment and is genuinely interested in building a long-term relationship with their family.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

• The family is offering $28-$35/hour (gross). Based on 36 guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $52,416-$65,520 (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

• The family is offering two weeks of paid time off, paid sick time, standard federal holidays off, and mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.
• This family is also open to offering a health insurance reimbursement based on the compensation package.

Required Qualifications

• Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references.
• Have strong professional and personal references.
• Have reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred).
• Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction.
• Are a non-smoker.
• Committed to professional, legal pay.
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire).
