Job Summary
Warm, respectful first-time parents in the area seeking an experienced full-time nanny for their four-week-old infant son. We are looking for a professional career nanny who is nurturing, socially engaging, responsible, proactive, and confident supporting newborn development and routines in a collaborative family environment.
This position is ideal for a nanny seeking a long-term role with a family that values open communication, professionalism, consistency, and mutual respect. We are hoping to find someone who can grow with the family and become a trusted, dependable presence in their child’s life.
The ideal candidate is emotionally intuitive, organized, calm under pressure, and able to confidently problem-solve independently while maintaining strong communication with parents. We value a nanny who genuinely enjoys engaging with children, supporting developmental milestones, and creating a warm, enriching environment.
Schedule
Monday–Friday with a flexible schedule based on parents’ work needs. Guaranteed average of 35-40 hours per week. Early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends or overnights may be required with advance notice.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care while supporting the child’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs
- Maintain consistent newborn feeding, nap, and daily routines
- Track daily logs of feedings, naps, diapering, and developmental milestones
- Engage in age-appropriate, developmentally enriching interaction and activities
- Foster a socially engaging, calm, and positive environment that encourages healthy development
- Anticipate needs and confidently problem-solve throughout the day
- Support healthy sleep habits and developmental routines
- Prepare fresh, healthy meals for the child as he grows
- Maintain a clean, organized nursery and child-related spaces
- Perform child-related laundry
- Provide light household support including kitchen tidying, dishwasher loading, and trash removal
- Maintain open, professional communication with parents regarding daily activities and any concerns
- Confidently navigate the community for enriching outings including local classes, libraries, parks, sensory activities, music groups, and social play opportunities as age appropriate

Required Qualifications
- Previous professional nanny experience required; strong newborn experience preferred
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- At least 21 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Minimum 3+ years of childcare experience, including infant care, or related professional experience
- Strong understanding of infant development, routines, and age‑appropriate engagement
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- Successful completion of, or willingness to complete, Mandated Reporter Training
- Successful completion of, or willingness to complete, Car Seat Safety Training prior to start date
- Ability to pass a background check demonstrating suitability for caring for young children
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain/renew as a condition of hire
- Knowledge of home and child safety best practices
- Physically able to meet the demands of the role, including active play and lifting up to 25 lbs
- Completed recent physical examination (within the last 12 months) with the ability to provide a completed Child Care Staff Health Assessment form
- Ability to provide proof of current vaccinations, including but not limited to: Tdap (or Td), MMR, HepA, HepB, PCV, Influenza, and COVID-19 (as applicable)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; vehicle may be provided if needed
