Responsibilities

• This role is approximately 50% childcare and 50% family assistant duties.
• Care for a 4-year-old and 1-year-old twins with engaging age-appropriate activities.
• Prepare meals and snacks, maintain routines, and transport the preschooler as needed.
• Perform family assistant tasks: laundry, organizing toys/spaces, tidying, groceries, light meal prep, returns, errands.
• Support a collaborative parenting team with flexible scheduling.

Located at: North(ish) Boulder, near Evergreen and Forest

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Family is open to guaranteeing either 35 or 40 hours per week. Typical schedule is Monday–Thursday, 12:45 PM–7:45 PM and Friday, 11:00 AM–6:00 PM. If 40 hours are preferred, the nanny may start one hour earlier each day. The family would also appreciate occasional flexibility for a couple of evenings each week with advance notice.

Children's Ages: Care will be for a 4-year-old and 1-year-old twin boys.

About the Children:

• The oldest child is a bright, imaginative, and outgoing 4-year-old who loves group play, building with Magna-Tiles, trains, creative projects, and engaging conversations. He attends preschool Monday through Friday and may occasionally need to be picked up by the nanny using the family vehicle.
• The twin boys recently turned one and have just started walking. Both are curious, playful, and love exploring the world around them.

About the Family:

• Mom is currently home and manages personal projects while actively sharing childcare responsibilities. And Dad works remotely from a separate home office.
• This family is very interested in building a long-term relationship with a wonderful family and becoming an important part of their team.

About the Pets:

• There are no pets in the home.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

• This role is approximately 50% childcare and 50% family assistant responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys staying active and balancing multiple responsibilities throughout the day.
• Childcare responsibilities include creating engaging play experiences, encouraging learning through books, imaginative play, and age-appropriate activities, preparing meals and snacks, maintaining routines, transporting the preschooler when needed, and providing nurturing care for three young children.
• Family Assistant responsibilities include children's laundry, organizing toys and play spaces, tidying common living areas and the kitchen, grocery shopping, simple family meal preparation, package returns, light errands, and helping keep the household running smoothly.
• This is a true "tag-team" position where childcare responsibilities are shared between Mom and the nanny. Some days the nanny may care for all three children, while other times responsibilities are divided depending on the family's needs

Travel Requirements:

• No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

• At least 2 years of verifiable professional experience caring for toddlers (ages 1–2).
• Experience caring for multiples or children close in age is strongly preferred.
• Previous Family Assistant or household management experience is highly valued.
• Experience as a preschool teacher or Early Childhood Education professional is a plus, but not required.
• Comfortable working alongside a stay-at-home parent in a collaborative environment.
• Clean driving record and confidence transporting children using the family vehicle.
• The ideal candidate for the position will be naturally playful, energetic, patient, and nurturing while remaining calm under pressure. Also, someone who is organized, proactive, dependable, and happy staying busy throughout the day is a must-have.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

• The family is offering $35-$40/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $63,700 - $72,800 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

• This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2 weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job OR a vehicle to drive on the job.
• This family is also open to offering a health insurance stipend for the right candidate.
