YOUR DAY-TO-DAY LIFE

We are seeking a Full-Time Microbiology Technician at 2057 Builders Place, Columbus, OH 43204, USA. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing samples for analysis, including recording, weighing, and blending
• Writing identification onto plates for tracking
• Pipetting sample solutions into tubes or plates
• Pouring agar into plates or tubes to initiate growth
• Incubating plates at specified temperatures and durations
• Preparing media and broth for pathogen testing
• Maintaining knowledge of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Setting up equipment and materials for analysis
• Reading plates and tubes to determine microorganism concentration
• Supporting quality and continuous improvement processes
• Performing housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and sanitized
• Participating in cleaning schedules and maintaining retain samples
• Adhering to safety policies
• Supporting management in system implementation, maintenance, and improvement
• Performing other related tasks as needed

YOUR PROFILE

Qualifications: HS Diploma with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Basic knowledge of science, computers, laboratory safety procedures, and planning skills are essential.

Required Skills: Time management, attention to detail, analytical skills, familiarity with LIMS, and physical dexterity.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a laboratory with proper lighting and temperature control, occasional exposure to fumes and chemicals, and the use of safety equipment. Daily use of autoclaves, lifting up to 50 pounds, extended standing, and color perception are expected.
