What you’ll do:
The Ohio Attorney General's Office is seeking a Crime Scene Technician in the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) within the Crime Scene Unit. This position is primarily remote, with possible in-person training and operational requirements. The headquarters is located in London, OH.
BCI houses Ohio’s official crime lab and identification services, serving law enforcement agencies statewide and providing expert investigative services to local, state, and federal agencies. BCI operates 24/7 to support law enforcement needs.
Staff include special agents, forensic scientists, and criminal analysts across three divisions: Identifications, Investigations, and Laboratory.
The successful candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate within 90 days to one of the following counties: Ashland, Ashtabula, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Crawford, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Harrison, Holmes, Huron, Jefferson, Knox, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, or Wayne.
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in forensic science or related field, 2 years of crime scene investigation experience, and a valid driver’s license, or equivalent qualifications.
