Job summary

Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA 70816 is seeking a Full-Time Mental Health Technician to join our outpatient programs. The role is onsite, with a Wed/Thu/Fri or Thu/Fri/Sat 7:00 AM–7:00 PM schedule, working closely with a dedicated team to support patient recovery and safety.

You will document patient behavior and collaborate with nurses, ensuring compassionate care, dignity, and a safe environment while participating in daily living activities and routine tasks.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of mental health experience.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to stand long hours and assist with daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Document patient behavior, vital signs, and incidents as directed by nursing staff.
• Assist nurses with patient care tasks and collaborate with the activity director on therapeutic interventions.
• Coordinate lunch distribution and maintain kitchen cleanliness during mealtimes.
