Job summary

Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Part-Time Mental Health Technician for weekend evening coverage (2 PM - 10 PM alternating weekends). This onsite role supports patients and works closely with a dedicated care team to promote recovery and wellbeing in a professional environment.

Responsibilities include documenting patient observations, assisting nurses and activity directors, helping with daily living activities, and maintaining a clean, safe facility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long intervals and lift a patient to provide care.
• Excellent communication and empathic attitude are essential.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Document patients' observed behaviors, vital signs, and significant occurrences.
• Assist nurses and activity directors in delivering therapeutic interventions.
• Coordinate lunch distribution and maintain kitchen cleanliness after meals.
• Attend to patients’ needs during lunchtime and support daily living activities.
• Oversee overall cleanliness to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
• Support the care team to deliver compassionate, high‑quality care.
