Job summary

Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant/Registration Assistant (MA/RA) to support clinical and front-desk tasks at the Chinatown Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. CMA or RMA certification and a High School Diploma or GED with 1 year MA training are required.

CPR certification is required, and EMR experience (NextGen preferred) is a plus. The MA/RA will prepare patients for visits, assist clinicians, schedule referrals, complete forms, and help maintain a safe clinic

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) and HS diploma/GED with 1 year MA training.
• CPR certification required; associate's degree preferred.
• EMR experience preferred; NextGen experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for office visits and assists clinician with physical examination.
• Schedules external referrals and completes all necessary forms.
• Maintains required logs and lab tracking; prepares specimens for pickup.
• Operates paging/telephone system; greets patients and visitors professionally.
• Attends mandatory training sessions and staff meetings; updates patient demographics and insurance information.
