Job summary

The role supports clinical and front-desk operations, including patient transport, specimen collection, documentation, and EMR-based workflows.

Responsibilities span assisting with procedures, medication administration under supervision, inventory management, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant training school (PA/NJ/DE).
• Patient pill counts, updating imaging from patient into system, and calling facilities for reports.
• Current CPR license.
• Preferred 2+ years of experience in a healthcare practice or hospital.
• High level of professionalism.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Inventory management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam/procedure rooms.
• Collect urine specimens per visit guidelines.
• Record vital signs, height/weight, and changes in medical history.
• Medication reconciliation in EMR.
• Communicate with providers using EMR and hand off patient status.
• Assist providers with minor procedures.
• Update patient history and medical records.
• Prepare/examine rooms; stock and clean areas.
• Front desk tasks: answer phone calls and greet patients.
• Assist office manager with inventory and placing orders for materials.
• Administer medications under supervision.
• Prepare equipment for sterilization.
• Maintain patient confidentiality; HIPAA compliance.
• Cross-train to cover front desk as needed.
