Job summary

Lampe Management Company seeks a Manager in Training to assist tenants in our Smithfield and Selma, NC storage facilities. You will support leasing operations, keep the property clean, and learn office processes to advance to Property Manager.

You'll work full-time, with normal hours and some overtime, bi-weekly paychecks, and benefits after 90 days, including health, dental, vision, life and short-term disability, plus paid vacation and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work with the public and provide excellent customer service.
• Basic ability to perform light office cleaning and property walks.
• Must own reliable transportation.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in leasing office and maintain a clean storage facility.
• Answer phones, collect rent, lease units, and address general storage needs.
• Train with an experienced Property Manager for promotion to Property Manager.
• Oversee maintenance contractors on larger facility projects.
• Support office during business hours and provide coverage as needed.

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a fun, low-stress position with a variety of responsibilities. Self-storage or real estate experience is not required. As a Manager in Training, you will assist customers in the leasing office and help maintain a clean, neat storage facility for all tenants.

The office duties include keeping the office open during office hours, answering the phone, collecting rental payments, leasing Self-Storage units and assisting customers with general storage needs. Additionally, you will be training with an experienced Property Manager on all office paperwork so that you will be ready for promotion to Property Manager.

Outdoor responsibilities include sweeping vacated storage units, removing small trash from the lot, and keeping common areas clean and orderly. You will also train with your Area Manager to oversee maintenance contractors on larger facility projects.

HOURS

• Normal Business Hours, 8:30am – 6pm may include some Saturdays for relief coverage
• Bi-Weekly paychecks + monthly bonus

• Holiday pay starting immediately (7 days per year)
• Full-Time Position, 40 hours per week minimum, some limited overtime is available
