Southern Auto Group is seeking an Automotive Express/Quick Lube Technician for a Chevy location in Western Branch. This in-person, full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, post-secondary automotive training, ASE certification (or willingness to obtain), and a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Candidates should excel in communication and customer service and work well in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience
• ASE certification (or is willing to obtain certification)
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Safety and customer service-oriented
• Basic computer and internet skills

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses appropriate oil and filters for proper car maintenance
• Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle exterior while performing oil changes
• Report any visible issues or concerns to the appointed Service Advisor
• Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
• Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner
• Follows all shop policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules
• Attends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required
• Performs other duties as assigned
