Job summary

Southern Auto Group is seeking an Automotive Express/Quick Lube Technician at our Western Branch Chevy location. This is a full-time role with full-time benefits, requiring a high school diploma or GED, some automotive training, and ASE certification or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in service departments preferred.
• ASE certification (or willing to obtain) is preferred.
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to drive both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and dependable work ethic.
• Basic computer and internet skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses appropriate oil and filters for proper car maintenance.
• Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle exterior while performing oil changes.
• Reports issues to the Service Advisor.
• Ensures documentation is complete and compliant with regulations.
• Supports shop operations with inventory stocking and general duties.
• Follows all shop policies, safety, and environmental rules.
• Attends all staff meetings and training sessions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
