Job summary

Harraseeket Inn & event House in Freeport, Maine, is seeking a dynamic Line Cook to join the back-of-house team. This full-time role requires detail-orientation, proactivity, and a commitment to guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and service.

You will work with the Executive Chef to plan, prepare, and produce all dishes, ensuring portions and presentation meet our high standards. Flexibility for mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-time kitchen experience in a line cook role.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• On-site work at hotel location.
• Flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends/holidays.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety and emergency procedures.
• Ability to work well with others and follow instructions.
• Ability to maintain speed and quality in meal production.
• Ability to report injuries to supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality dishes according to recipes and portion standards.
• Follow orders and accommodate special guest requests with allergies.
• Coordinate food orders for timely service.
• Maintain sanitary, safe handling of food.
• Set up, break down, and clean cook areas.
• Prepare meals with portion and quality control.
• Minimize waste and control costs.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation meeting health codes; ServSafe on staff.
• Assist Executive Chef and inventory tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
