Job summary

Harraseeket Inn & Event House in Freeport, Maine is seeking a part-time Line Cook to join our back-of-house team. This 20–30 hour per week role requires ServSafe certification, strong teamwork, and the ability to follow recipes and safety standards.

You will prepare meals to order, manage portions, accommodate allergen requests, and help with inventory and kitchen sanitation. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced hotel dining operation with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a related kitchen role.
• Must be able to work onsite at the hotel location.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Part-time schedule: 20–30 hours per week; mornings, afternoons, evenings; weekends/holidays.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food items to order following recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Accommodate guest allergies while maintaining standards of taste and quality.
• Coordinate food orders to ensure timely delivery to tables.
• Handle and store food safely and sanitarily per codes.
• Set up, break down, and clean all cook areas and equipment.
• Maintain portion control and quality; minimize waste and manage costs.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and organized; ensure sanitation meets standards.
• Assist with inventory and receiving as needed.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and report injuries.
