Job summary

Envoy Air in Cleveland is seeking a Station Agent to support ramp operations and customer service within a fast-paced airline environment. You will coordinate operation in assigned areas, load/unload baggage, assist with aircraft movements, and ensure safety and timely service for customers.

The role requires flexible shifts including nights and weekends, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the overall operation within an assigned functional area.
• Ensure adequate operational coverage and manpower utilization.
• Maintain a safe, dependable, and consistent operation.
• Schedule and administer local training including new hire training.
• Load and unload baggage and cargo on and off aircraft.
• Transport items between terminals and aircraft using equipment.
• Marshal aircraft and coordinate with teammates for safe paths.
• Clean and service cabin interiors and perform de-icing if applicable.
• Complete administrative duties as required.

Pay Rate: $19.21 / HR

Responsibilities

How will you make an impact?

• Responsible to management for the coordination of the overall operation within an assigned functional area
• Ensure adequate operational coverage; responsible for scheduling and manpower utilization
• Maintain a safe, dependable and consistent operation
• Conduct Agent observations
• Schedule and administer local training including new hire training
• Maintain supplies and inventory control logs
• Prepare customer correspondence, investigate discrepancies and compile statistical data for reports
• Complete administrative duties
• Perform Station Agent work within the ramp service operation, as required
• Load and unload baggage and cargo on and off aircraft
• Transport items between terminals, aircraft and the bag room using belt-loaders, tugs, carts and other equipment
• Marshal aircraft which requires working closely with teammates to ensure a safe path
• Clean and service cabin interiors, including seatback pockets, cushions, tray tables, overhead bins, cockpit, galley, and the lavatory
• De-ice aircraft which requires using equipment to apply chemicals/compounds, if applicable
• Organize work groups and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Minimum Age: 18
• High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
• Possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended REAL ID-compliant, state driver’s license; or otherwise maintain all necessary authority and identification to travel for business needs as required; some license restrictions may prohibit a candidate from being considered for this role.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, days off, and be able to report to work on a regular and timely basis
• Flexible to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed due to operational necessity
• Must be able to perform all duties in various weather conditions and time constraints
• Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
• Possess the legal right to work in the United States
• A minimum of one year of customer service experience preferred
• Previous experience in a team-lead capacity preferred
• Organization and interpersonal skills are necessary
• Above-average qualities of leadership, initiative, and judgment are essential
• Administrative background preferred
• Above average attendance preferred
• Some locations may desire previous airline experience including working knowledge of an airline’s ticketing system and/or ramp operations
