Job summary

Envoy Air is seeking a Station Agent in Greensboro, NC to support ramp and customer service within the American Airlines network. You will load and unload baggage, help with aircraft servicing, coordinate with teammates, and uphold safety and service standards while delivering excellent customer care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Previous airline experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overall operation within assigned functional area.
• Schedule and manpower utilization; ensure coverage and safety.
• Conduct observations and training; handle inventory and supplies.
• Load/unload baggage and cargo; transport items between terminals.
• Assist with aircraft servicing and de-icing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to management for the coordination of the overall operation within an assigned functional area

• Ensure adequate operational coverage; responsible for scheduling and manpower utilization
• Maintain a safe, dependable and consistent operation
• Conduct Agent observations
• Schedule and administer local training including new hire training
• Maintain supplies and inventory control logs

• Prepare customer correspondence, investigate discrepancies and compile statistical data for reports
• Complete administrative duties
• Perform Station Agent work within the ramp service operation, as required
• Load and unload baggage and cargo on and off aircraft
• Transport items between terminals, aircraft and the bag room using belt-loaders, tugs, carts and other equipment

• Marshal aircraft which requires working closely with teammates to ensure a safe path
• Clean and service cabin interiors, including seatback pockets, cushions, tray tables, overhead bins, cockpit, galley, and the lavatory
• De-ice aircraft which requires using equipment to apply chemicals/compounds, if applicable
• Organize work groups and handlemultiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Minimum Age: 18
• High school diploma, GED, or internationalequivalent
• Possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended REAL ID-compliant, state driver’s license; or otherwise maintain all necessary authority and identification to travel for business needs as required; some license restrictions may prohibit a candidate from being considered for this role.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, days off, and be able to report to work on a regular and timely basis
• Flexible to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed due to operational necessity
• Must be able to perform all duties in various weather conditions and time constraints
• Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
• Possess the legal right to work in the United States
• A minimum of one year of customer service experience preferred
• Previous experience in a team-lead capacity preferred
• Organization and interpersonal skills are necessary
• Above-average qualities of leadership, initiative, and judgment are essential
• Administrative background preferred
• Above average attendance preferred
• Some locations may desire previous airline experience including working knowledge of an airline’s ticketing system and/or ramp operations
