Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time Food Service Assistant for the AOK-COAC Reding Senior Center in Oklahoma City, OK. The role is 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, supporting meal prep, delivery coordination, serving, and dining room/kitchen cleanup.

Responsibilities include food preparation, portioning, assisting guests needing extra help, cleaning dishes, and maintaining sanitary kitchen conditions in compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of kitchen or food service experience preferred.
• Food Handlers License and Safeserve training/certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for and accepts meal deliveries; prepares items to be served with delivered meals; assist in dining room and kitchen cleanup.
• Prepares and serves food items, ensures portions, and assists those needing extra help.
• Washes dishes, cleans pots and pans, and maintains kitchen and dining room cleanliness.
• Cleans refrigerators, freezers, stoves; stocks supplies; follows health regulations.
