Job summary

Great Lakes Academy in Michigan is seeking a full-time Instructional Coach to collaborate with teachers and administrators to enhance instructional practices and improve student outcomes. A valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with the appropriate endorsement is preferred; candidates eligible for an alternative certification program may also be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Michigan teaching certification required; eligible for alternative certs considered.
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience.
• Experience with data-driven instruction and instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to enhance instructional practices.
• Design and facilitate professional development workshops and training sessions.
• Analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in district-wide curriculum initiatives ensuring alignment with standards.
• Model effective instructional strategies in classrooms and provide feedback.
• Foster positive relationships with teachers, students and staff.
• Share resources and best practices to meet diverse learner needs.
• Set SMART goals for instructional improvement with teachers.
