The role collaborates with teachers and administrators to identify needs, provide targeted coaching, and implement evidence-based strategies that improve student outcomes and foster reflective teaching. A Michigan teaching certificate is required, with a preferred Masters in literacy.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate.
• Masters degree in reading or evidence-based literacy (desired).
• Experience as a teacher and in coaching or mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted, personalized coaching to teachers to improve instructional practices.
• Collaborate with administrators to identify instructional needs and develop improvement plans.
• Lead training on curriculum implementation and literacy programs when designated.
• Monitor student achievement data and support data-driven interventions.
• Facilitate reflective practice through observations, modeling, and co-planning.
• Support culture and climate improvement across the Academy.
• Coordinate with literacy and intervention staff to align interventions with curriculum.
