Job summary

Asbury Solomons, part of Asbury Communities, is seeking a dedicated housekeeping teammate to support resident spaces and event setups in a continuing care retirement community in Maryland. This full-time role offers a 40-hour work week with shifts from 7:00am to 3:30pm, and a rotation every other weekend and holiday.

You will assist with setup/breakdown of event spaces, provide housekeeping services in resident apartments and common areas, and ensure cleaning duties meet infection control

Qualifications

• Must be able to work on feet throughout the work day, walking and bending.
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and lift objects repeatedly.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including arranging and moving tables, chairs, and other furnishings according to room layouts and event requirements.
• Provides housekeeping services in resident apartments, bathrooms, common areas and other areas as directed.
• Cleans flooring and carpets as directed.
• Removes dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Ensures that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times.
• Coordinates daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Performs isolation cleaning procedures in accordance with established infection control procedures. Discards infectious wastes into appropriate containers.
