Silverado Hospice is hiring an RN On-Call to provide after-hours support and timely assessments for patients and families in the Kyle area and surrounding communities. You will help ensure continuity of care and respond to changes in condition with clinical expertise and compassion.

You lead patient-centered care, coordinate services across settings, and document visits within 24 hours. This full-time, on-call role requires flexibility, a valid RN license, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• RN with a valid state license.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
• Hospice experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours.
• Comfort around animals/pets.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing evaluations and after-hours assessments for patients with changes in condition.
• Assess pain and other signs of discomfort, taking prompt action.
• Initiate and update plans of care; provide nursing follow-up and caregiver instruction.
• Submit accurate documentation within 24 hours of visits.
• Coordinate services across settings to ensure quality and appropriateness of care.
• Follow approved care plans, modify as needed, and communicate with physicians.

We're hiring an RN On-Call - a compassionate and skilled nurse who will provide after-hours support, ensuring timely assessments and continuity of care for hospice patients and families. This role is essential to delivering dignified, responsive care during critical moments.

What You'll Be Doing

Shift Schedule: Full Time (on- call), Monday - Thursday, 5:00pm - 8:00am

Anticipated pay range: $85,000 USD - $95,000 USD
